Overview
Volvo S80 is a four-door, five-passenger, luxury sedan with impressive safety features, stylish and functional interior layout, sublime seat comfort, powerful T6 and V8 engines. The 2010 Volvo S80 is available in 3.2, T6 AWD and V8 AWD trim levels.
For 2010, Volvo S80's optional features have been revised, including a few new features and a reorganization of packages. Volvo has broken the Sport package into stand-alone options for the V8 model, while its sport-tuned suspension is available on the T6 as part of the new Dynamic package. All S80 models now get a revised front grille, chrome trim accents and dual exhaust tips, while the base model gets snazzier interior trim.
Powertrain And Performance
A 235-hp 3.2-liter inline six-cylinder engine powers the front-wheel drive S80 3.2 trim. The S80 T6 is powered by a turbocharged 281-hp 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine, while the S80 V8 AWD features a 311-hp 4.4-liter V8 engine. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard across all trims. The EPA estimated details are 18 mpg city/27 mpg highway and 21 mpg combined for the 3.2, 16/24/19 for the T6 and 15/22/18 for the V8.
Build And Styling
Alloy wheels measuring 17-inch or 18-inch; standard power heated mirrors with integrated turn signals; standard rain-sensing windshield wipers; optional heated windshield-washer nozzles (standard on V8); optional headlight washer (standard on V8); and optional xenon headlights with articulating lenses are some of the main exterior features on the 2009 Volvo S80.
The interior is marked by ergonomically designed seats; leather steering wheel, shifter, brake handle, and seating upholstery; moonroof and dual-zone automatic climate control; wireless phone connectivity; optional heated front and rear seats (standard on V8); optional 650-watt, 12-speaker surround-sound system; optional dual-screen rear-seat entertainment system (screens integrated into headrests); and optional navigation system with real-time traffic controls.
Climate, Dynamic (T6), Technology, Multimedia (3.2 and T6) and Executive (3.2 and T6) packages are available with a few stand-alone options.
